My Eyes! My Eyes!

Oy. So first of all my right eye has been stinging on an off for the past few days. So finally this morning, I went to Pearle Vision by my office (can I just tell you how HOT the doctor is there? Me-ow!) and hotdoc said that I have been wearing my contacts too much and that my cornea is inflamed. So no contacts for at least a week, and I have drops for every three to four hours, plus rewetting drops to use all the time. I am going back for a follow up (ew get your minds out of the gutter) on Friday. But at least I don't have pink eye, which is what I thought I had.

Anywho, so in feminist news...the Chicago-NOW choice team meeting (led by your truly) is tomorrow night at 6:30pm at the Borders at North and Halsted. We are discussing what we are doing for Roe v Wade. Right now the plan is to do a screening and discussion of the movie Speak Out: I had an Abortion, but that may change. And date is TBD, but I will hopefully know more tomorrow. So please come to the meeting!! :)

That's all for now.

Good Times...

So lets see...this past weekend was Thanksgiving...I did a whole lotta nuthin and it was GREAT! haha Friday night went with some girls to Greek Town and ate waaaay to much but it was good! Then Saturday cleaned and watched some more of 24 season 3 (only a season and a half left to catch up on since I have seen season 5!) and the movie Keeping up with the Steins. I liked it. It was cute. Also read and bought some new books. Just started reading Wicked. No, I have not seen the play. I want to after I finish the book because it's hard to actually imagine it as a musical. It has some feminist undertones, which I was told before I started, and it totally does. To all three people who read this, read it so we can have a discussion.

Anywho, so then yesterday ran some errands and then watched Heroes. Good stuff that show is! So sad that next week is the last episode for a while. Tonight we are interviewing someone for the NOW board and then home to Gilmore Girls! haha

Wow, I don't sound so exciting when I actually type everything out! Oh, Webster is doing much better! If I actually knew how to post pictures I would post of picture of him! Yay for Webby!

Later kids.

Super Cool People

So, my weekend was fun. Very relaxing and everything. Friday night I cleaned and was a bum. Saturday I had one last interview with a new board member, then had Mary and Joe over to discuss all the new candidates. And we have six fabulous new editions to the Chicago chapter of the National Organization for women! We will start up interviews again in January (most-likely) if all three of you who read this bad boy are interested. Finding new board members is going to start becoming an on-going thing, hopefully. Then Saturday night watched Over the Hedge. I think I liked it more for the voices, but the story was cute. Sunday went to brunch and did laundry. And then watched Blue Velvet. Yeah, I like David Lynch and everything, but only after I look up what the movie really meant because I missed like half of it (meaning-wise). I wanted to get the rest of the Twin Peaks seires, but the video store only had season one, which I have seen. OH, and some girl and her bf were also trying to rent it. I mean really, what's with that?! Rudeness!!

Yesterday took Webster to the vet and he is doing a-okay for the time being. He does not like the vet but they gave him treats, and what animal doesn't like treats!!

In actual feminist news, NOW has their annual meeting on Thursday night. Here are the details. POI, I did not come up with the title (is it just me or does "burning" just not fit into the title, maybe as a question, but whatev) here is the info:
