"Oy with the Poodles Already"

So you know you watch too much tv when, in the middle of a grammar class (for continuing education paid by my lovely company), while discussing the correct usage of the plural and possessive, that when the instructor starts talking about fathers-in-law and where to add the "s," and all you can think about is that one episode of Gilmore Girls when Lor and Rory are discussing whether its cul-du-sac or culs-du-sac and you totally crack yourself up.

Catching up on Heroes tonight before Top Model and Lost. Lost writers, you better deliever tonight since last week's episode was so eh. We better find out why there is a VW Bus on the island. Yes, you heard correctly. Blue VW bus on the island. In the middle of nowhere. With no roads. However, not the strangest thing to ever happen on this show. Sad but true, I am so J.J. Abrams's bitch. Le Sigh.

PS For all of you who want to volunteer for a kick-ass woman's organization...tomorrow night I am having an informational volunteer meeting for those interested in the Chicago chapter of the National Organization for Women. I will be giving a very brief discription of NOW and what the Chicago chapter does and possible volunteer opportunities. The meeting is at the Caribou Coffee on Clark and Wellington! Please come!

Raindrops on Roses....

A few things I learned in the past couple of weeks:

1. Veronica Mars is the best.show.ever. Seriously, why did I not start watching before?!
2. I am really good at scouring gunk from my bathtub. Gross, I know, gunk and bathtub should not be in the same sentence, but there you have it.
3. Some boys actually do give me butterflies. I am speaking metaphorically, not literally. Because that would be weird. If a boy game me an actual butterfly.

Right. I am weird. Thanks already knew that. Now, go watch Veronica Mars. But please do not rent the second season from Specialty Video on Broadway. Because then I will have to send the pot heads that work there after you. Or send myself after you. And I watch 24 and Alias. I know how to be a badass. Thanks to Jack Bauer and Jack Bristow. Must be in the name.

Um, Britney? Pleeeeease check yourself. And brush your hair. And stop wearing a Star of David. And that hideous pink fur thing. And maybe instead of enjoying the single life like a "college girl wanting to get laid" (borrowed quote from Page Six I think), maybe get coffee and be seen with your kids...with your hair brushed...and boots that match your dress...and said dress is not see-threw or up to your vajayjay. C'mon girl, we need a come back but its so hard to be on Team Brtiney when you continue on like this.

Anyways, waiting for CB so we can head over the The Apartment for a MediaBistro event. I would put a link but this new blog upgrade thing is giving me the business, and I am not tech-savvy enough to know what to do. But yeah, it is a media networking event, so should be fun. We went to another one a few weeks ago for Oprah.com's coming out party at Whiskey Sky at the W Lake Shore. It was fun...I saw the edior of Chicago Magazine but was too scared to approach her.

So, not much coming up in the world of feminism. Well besides Hillary wanting to run for president!! :)
