Adventures in Lunching

Today for lunch I met D.Ro, LeStacy, and her friend MK...we went to CPK and dined on fabulous salads and pizza. With goat cheese. Yum. So at first we were not so sure about our waiter who looked like OJ Simpson circa his "Back to the Beach" extra in background days...and also made a face when I ordered a different dressing for my salad. I mean come on, there are grosser things than wanting to eat your BBQ Chicken Salad with blue cheese dressing. Seriously. However, I also ordered the balsamic vinaigrette, so that may have done it. Whatevs. And everyone else at the table did too...but pretty soon we were all bffs with Stan our waiter...and at the end what does he say to us? "Who's your daddy!" Yes folks, our waitperson totally tried to get fresh with us, and we loved every moment!

Tonight is more babysitting and then tomorrow is vet and then JAMIE G! Holla! haha

Oh, and? I am totally in third place on my fantasy league. So not okay. Of course two days after I switch out Jenna Jameson for Sean Combs, she gets vajajay surgery, and is on like every blog. Haha including mine! Not like that counts for our league. If it did, I would get points for PDiddy. I am not giving him up yet though, just because of the maybe baby daddy scandal with the blonde one from Danity Kane. Swweeeeet.

So, well, actually I ended up chopping off the end of the survey because I didn't really care for the questions, and thought that they were a little unnecessary. Lets see....oh right. Babysat last night for Joshua. OMG, he is SO CUTE! And totally faked me out with pretend crying just so I would give him my cell phone. He loved it! And I get to babysit again on Friday! Yay! And I am bringing my Prison Break season one DVDs. So okay, I have had this post as a draft for like half the day so it's time to go live.

Viewer Discretion Is Advised

Right. Cuz my posts are soooo juicy. Anyways, it just sunk in that I am staying at work until 6:00. Which is fine considering I have to babysit at like 6:15ish, and the live close. Plus I won't waste time shopping. And I do get to see my boy Joshua! He is nine months old now! I'm sad that they are moving to HP soon though. But really, tonight I would have gone home, put on my pjs, and watched Models, read for a while, then watched Lost. So really, I am doing the same exact thing at their house, instead of Webster I have Joshers! haha And yes, I brought comfy clothes to change into because I that's the way I roll. Did I just say that? Yeeeeah.

So, a, anyways, not much else is new. JN lent me the first season of Prison Break! So this weekend, in my spare time (which is basically half the weekend), I am watching that and more season four of 24. Wentworth and Keifer? Yep! And le sigh.

Oh and soooo excited that JG is coming in! We finally get to try dessert at Hot Chocolate!

Also, I am trying to organize something (with the help of the Chicago Abortion Fund folks) to help out for Naisy Doral's campaign...she is running in a run-off election. So will keep all three of you updated for that.

Going to the country...gonna eat a lot of peaches...

So technically, I was not in the country and we actually ate nothing even resembling a peach...but I did got to Dekalb for a little "country" holiday. It was a great change of scenery, and Jess and I had a blast. Plus, Rocco splet with me (oooh dirrrrty, if you didn't already know he is a dog) and he is the cutest thing ever. Seriously. And I love Tilli too. Anyways, so yeah, we just went out and my friend Melissa who was also in Dekalb met us out and we all had a lovely time. And there was a lot of hotness around us. Including a delicious young man who practically oozed sex...and probably has no idea of his sex appeal, which makes him totally more appealing. Me-ow! haha

Saturday hung out with SB and we finally both saw Borat. Pretty freaking hilarious. Let's see...ummmm went to Targe with DW yesterday. That was fun! I love daddy/daughter time! Then my dad came over to see Webster who basically pawed at his shoes and then purred. So cute. After that I watched some 24 season 4 and went to bed.

Hey Look Me Over...

A couple of things. 1. I finally got to meet Molly McNewman. Soooo freaking cute. And then Shaggy came down to play. She is so sweet!! And she totally thinks that she is still a puppy. We just need to throw Rocco in the mix and the cuteness would be complete. I mean really. 2. I sat in some sort of unidentified nasty-ness on the bus yesterday, which I am thinking is water, and hoping was water, due to the rain and perhaps a leaky window. I moved as soon as I felt the wet. It was gross.
3. Lost was soooo good last night. So good. The scenes between Benry and John Locke were fantastic. Although there are many more questions to be answered. And, I wonder who else the others have got down in the "den of evil daddies" tradmark, me. :)

Chicago-NOW health team meeting tonight...then dinner with BA, AJ, and MS! Should be fun!! Tomorrow HMF heads to Dekalb! Yay Jess P!

And for my Next Trick

Audrey is totally still alive. Somehow the storyline will head to China, and thus, Jack will find Audrey. Wouldn't it have been funny though, if Rena Sofer had been like, "Jack, didn't you hear? Audrey changed her name to Kathryn Hale and was involved in a bank robbery with 8 other people...and only they know what happened." You know, because she was on that short-lived show "The Nine?" Just me?

So is Veronica Mars going to be cancelled? Is there really a pilot of a new VM where VM is in the FBI? If they keep the same cast, I could be on board. OR just move the entire show to FX. I feel like it could do well on that station.

PS as of this afternoon I am in first place (by on 3 points) on my celeb fantasy league! :)

What I did on my Summer Vacation....

Right...weekend started out with a bang, and by bang, I mean fantastic phone call from Reed (*sarcasm*), but please see note below for more information. So then after a brisk walk and some head clearing, I headed back to my place and watched "The Departed" and had some wine. Love watching men get beat up and shot at. Even if they are hot. But I liked the movie. Irregardless, the next day after some errands and such, I went to JBC in LP for some St. Patrick's Day FUN. Sidenote: I actually only drink on major holidays. Waited in line for an hour, was able to cut a little bit, channelled my inner Veronica Mars and yelled at the bouncer...apparently money and sluttly clothes will let you in even if the bar is trying to watch their fire codes, nice, right? FINALLY get into the bar and meet up with D.Ro, JF, SN, AD, DW, BE, and some others. I drink, we do a shot, I get quesadillas...and we leave, meeting up with LZ, JS, and A(sorry don't know her last name!), and head over to BE and JK's apartment for some more F-U-N, including cheese puffs, freshly popped popcorn, and Cadbury Creme Eggs. YUM. Oh and some more boozing and basketballing.

At about 7ish, I was done and tired and hungry, so while the rest of the gang headed to Wells on Wells, I got myself home, got some food, had plans to watch "The Prestige" but ended up watching the end of the Mich State/UNC game...then feel asleeeeeeep for a long time. Got up. Went to bed. Got up. Did laundry. Read. Watched "For Your Consideration." Which I liked. Oh and got free chips/guac/salsa from Chipolte! Fabulous! Thank you to the manager that works at the one on Broadway and Belmont! You seriously made my Sunday! You are awesome and get loads of gold stars!! :)

So yeeeeah, that was my weekend in a nutshell.

Side Note: Reed? Sucks. Edited because I felt I sounded way to bitter and angry. Not a good way to start off the week thankyouverymuch.

I was not so much a fan of Grey's last night. I mean Izzie and George? I like Callie. I really really reeeeaaalllly hope that they just slept together in the sense that they were in the same bed. Please Shonda, let that be true. And Alex? Love him. Love love love LOVE him. And not enough Addison. And can you stop ruining the Christina/Burke relationship. I did read some spoilers (shut up I have to for that show), and if some of them are true, things could get interesting. Very interesting. Oh and did I mention I loved Alex? I think Justin Chambers needs a McSomething nickname.

Dirty Little Secret

So, my feminist card may have been revoked for like 3 seconds this weekend when I realized that I LOVE the new Avril song "Girlfriend." It is deliciously awful. And cheesy. And totally PUNK RAWK in the same way that Ashlee Simpson's songs are like totally punk. Anyways, well to make up for my new obsession with the song, I also downloaded some Bjork, Amy Winehouse, and Regina Spektor.

But really, "Girlfriend" is catchy. And we have all thought about what the lyrics say at one time or another. I mean I don't like your girlfriend I think you need a new one? I'm a mother fucking Princess? Please, how many times have we thought that about numorous guys and about ourselves!

Why I love my choice team meeting...a 20 minute conversation about cheese! I mean who doesn't love talking about cheese. The best is that we have all tried to be vegan at one point or another but couldn't for the cheese reason alone. That imitation tofu cheese is NOT okay. Ever. Yuck.
