One day, this might become a novel.

Something kinda oooooooh
So clearly we are not leaving the office early today although I am planning on leaving at 4:30, which my boss okayed, so that is nice.
Then it errands and home and then Greek Town! YUM!
Also, just to rewind to Wednesday...Gossip Girl was pretty good for a holiday episode. And as always, Leighton Meester (Blare Waldorf) was awesome. From clothes to her giving her maid a phone "so they can text." That scene was hilarious. I won't give anything else away because my sister has yet to watch. And also, apparently, when the show returns on Jan. 2...it promises to be quite eventful. Oh Upper East Siders. How I will miss you over the short break of the show. I wonder how many episodes are left until there aren't anymore due to the writer's strike.
And...my boss got me a Kiefer Sutherland/24 calendar for my holiday present. It is awesome! I also read that he gets about 3,000 letters or something ridiculous like that, letters a day in jail. I can't even imagine what half of them say. And no, I am not, nor am I planning to, send KS a letter. Although, not gonna lie. The thought crossed my mind. haha

If you want to destroy my sweater...
Which brings me to my next point...when are we going to start separating reproductive rights and religion? Yes, I know "Thou Shall Not Kill." But a woman who gets an abortion is NOT a murderer and religion should have nothing to do with it. It should be a woman's choice. Period. Not the government or her religious leader.
Okay, getting off my soap box. Thanks.

Thanks for the memories...
In other news, I am totally obsessed with the new Ashlee Simpson song, "Outta My Head." I didn't care for it at first, but now I really like it. Its pretty 80s sounding...and I feel like Cyndi Lauper could have rocked it hardcore. But AS does a good job. I think the song might be a dig at celebrity bloggers, such as Perez Hilton. He never really says anything nice about her.
My weekend was too long to recap, but Bloomington was fun. My cousin Amy had to go back to the hospital due to complications from her gall bladder, but is hopefully on the mend. Nick and Becca are super cute though, and we had fun coloring, watching movies, and sledding. Becca is at that age where she mimics everything. And sometimes she will bust out fill sentences, and its like, where did you learn these things! She is 18 months but chats up a storm! My favorite is when she tells her big brother to "go away."
I had yesterday off and made chocolate covered pretzels for my department. I plugged my IPod into this device speaker thingy and totally gave my neighbors a free concert of all the latest pop music including High School Musical Two and lots of B.Spears. Seriously, dancing around your apartment while licking a spatula of melted milk chocolate...is the best. Everyone should try it.
So tonight is the health team dinner. I think it is me, M, B, A, and K. We are going to Quartino's, which is Italian Tapas. So that should be fun! Thursday is the NOW holiday party, and then Friday think I am going to Greek Town with S & T. Different T than my future bro-in-law. I heart Greek food.
Wow, I am boring today!
So I totally support the Writer's Strike, but I miss my shows. New Gossip Girl tomorrow! YAY

Material Girls
Sadly, it seems as though she's been using her downtime to do something unspeakable to Oscar the Grouch, not even giving him the honor of being an entire coat, but simply making him into sleeves. As a huge fan of the seminal tune "I Love Trash," -- truly, it's neck and neck with "Rubber Ducky" as the best Sesame Street song ever, in my opinion, with honorable mention going to "C Is For Cookie," which I hear has been replaced by "Cookies Are A Sometimes Food," which, I sorry, is bullshit, because cookies are an ALWAYS food, they're just not a MASS QUANTITIES food. Why you gotta play me like this, Sesame Street? - I must protest this terrible injustice. I wonder if PETA has a Muppet Division?
Is why I love the FugGirls.
Seriously. Awesome. Oh and by the way, she is talking about Misha Barton's Citizen K magazine cover and general photo shoot.

Spice up your life!
Anywho, so the holidays are rapidly approaching. Hanukkah ended last night, but my family isn't celebrating until Christmas haha for my sister and T's first annual Chrismakkah BBQ! It is going to be so much fun!
So the ETB event was a lot of fun. All the Hanukkah parties I went to over the weekend were fun as well. And the best part was on Saturday, pre going to Antioch for the party at my cousin's, my sister, T, and I stopped by T & D's to see....JOSHUA!! He is so freaking cute I can't even stand it! He is walking and talking and totally enamored by their Roomba (who has a name but I can't remember). He was pretty tired though since he had just got up from his nap...but he was still all smiles and was loving T. He kept handing him blocks and cars and things. So cute. Seriously. SO CUTE. I want to eat him up. Well not really but you know what I mean.
Friday is my company holiday party at Grand Lux Cafe in the afternoon. Then I am off to Bloomington for the weekend. Then off of work on Monday! I am going to try and make something to give as holiday gifts to my department. I am thinking choc (white and regular) covered pretzels. With some caramel as well--but only with the milk chocolate ones.
This writer's strike is killing me! I miss The Office and Ugly Betty. And whatever else should be new!! And really writers of UB...Wili froze Bradford's sperm?! Oh this is going to get goooood. And weird. As for reality tv, I am staying away from that mother/daughter beauty disaster show for obvious reasons that it looks AWFUL. The Hills though, is returning in January! Yay! As fake as that show is, I can't stop watching. Models is done tonight...but GG is back next week and then probably on hiatus. Oh and Bret Michaels is doing another Rock of Love. I hope they bring Rodeo back!
Uh, so yeah, well this post is boring but what can you do. I wish I had more exciting things to write about.
I forgot what number I was on for telling about myself so that will have to wait until tomorrow.
So here are the things I want list.
Movies I want to see:
Atonement (read the book, seriously soooo good)
Sweeney Todd
Juno
Things I really want for Hanukkah that I have no chance at getting:
John Krasinski
Christian Louboutin Sparkly Heels (sparkly heels like the ones Miley Cyrus (shut up) has on in the most recent issue of US Weekly--the one with ScarJo's maybe nose job on the front
Chanel ballet flats, boots, and a purse
Burberry rain coat
Alrighty well that's about it for now!

I am woman hear me roar...
Anyways...happy Hanukkah everyone! I am celebrating by going out to sushi with MS. My family is having our party on Saturday. And then J is having a little potluck at her house on Sunday! Fun Hanukkah festivities all around.
Also, if anyone is looking for something to do this Friday night. The Lesbian Rights Team is having an event at Early to Bed in Andersonville from 9pm-11pm. In case you aren't in the know, ETB is a women-friendly and women-owned adult toy shop. There will be wine, cheese, and a raffle!

You and I Defying Gravity...
I am trying to move my blog over to Uber, however, I have zero clue on how to actually do that.
I covet everything Blair Waldorf wears on Gossip Girl. And I want to be Gossip Girl. I know, I have said that like 47 times.

LoveStoned
TV recap...PB is on hiatus until January. Heroes was fantastic last night! I love when they advance plot lines in a good direction! And I can't wait until Hiro and Kensai/Adam/Sark meet face-to-face in the future. I wonder if Kansai will remember him? It should be interesting! And I hope it happens!!
Gossip Girl? Loves it. I love the love connection between Chuck and Blair. Hawt. And I want all their clothes. I can't say it enough. haha
Models...eh. DSM...eh. Project Runway...obviously awesome!!
Right so...here ya go:
16. I love potato chips. And Dorritos. They are my weakness. My favorite chip flavor is salt and vinegar. And sour cream and onion.
17. I love shopping. I actually think I have a shopping problem.
18. I love pajamas. As part of my shopping problem, I have a weakness for buying pajamas. I love bing comfy!!
19. I really like fried chicken.
20. I like cold weather. (yes I know in a few weeks I will be bitching about the cold) By cold I mean like 30s-40s. Not like -2!
Alrighty, well now I totally want chicken fingers haha. And onion rings. Oy.
ttfn.

Stop right now thank you very much...
Anyways...I am slightly behind in tv so I will use tonight to catch up! I for sure need to watch Ugly Betty and I might do a re-watch of The Office, if only to see Kelly talking smack (she doesn't trash talk, duh) because it was hysterical. And I still need to finish Models even though I know who gets kicked off. One thing I don't understand, Tyra always stresses that these girls need to be able to speak properly in front of a camera. And outside of those "My Life as a Covergirl" things, do they really? Can't the ones that are good at the public speaking take the route of spokesperson while the not-so-good-at it people can just do photos? I mean wouldn't it make sense that just because you are a model you don't necessarily have to be a good public speaker? Wow, I am just reading way to much into this show.
Moving on...tomorrow I am meeting with Amy and Doug and Nick and Becca (my cousins and their kids) for the Disney Festival of Lights (is that actually what its called?) on Michigan Ave. They are already setting up for it! Hopefully the weather will be nice (no rain) otherwise we can watch from my office since my building is right on the mag mile! I have never been, but have seen it on tv, so I am kind of excited!! And then next week is Thanksgiving! I need to start holiday shopping soon as Hanukkah starts in like 18 days! Oh and if any of you happen to talk to my dad...please reiterate the fact that I want Jersey Boy tickets. Thanks!
Oh, and one other quick random thing. So I read some statement that Kim K. made about being in Playboy and all that...and how she is a good role model because she isn't s skinny blonde--that she has a normal body. And aside from the sex tape scandal, which she probably wouldn't be labeled a "whore" in so many gossip forums, but anyways, my point is, possible pee-ing on scene aside, I think she has a point. Granted, she didn't really need to pose in PB to get this point across, but when I see pictures of her and I have to admit I watched the show once, she seems relatively normal, and isn't a bobblehead. Plus, when ever I do see pictures of her, save for a few outfits, she looks good, even in her Juicy sweats. So yeah, I know random. But to Kim K. and the rest of the curvy women out there...Yay for curves. I have them too. And a booty! haha
Alrighty, I think I will continue the fun facts tomorrow. Or maybe later tonight in between tv watching and the like. I may get Thai food for dinner. Hmmmm I think I will. Some Tom Yum soup would be delicious.
Chow!

Do you want a piece of me?
New season of Project Runway starts tonight!!! I am playing the Fafarazzi game...if you get the highest points for the week you get a free DVD! Oh how I have missed Tim Gunn. And even Nina Garcia a little bit (fashion director of Elle magazine). And of course Heidi. Who, I mean, did she really learn how to change a diaper from our own Miss Britney? Did she really not know that the sticky things were for fastening the diaper and there was no need to tie string around it? I mean did no one show her this? Not one member of her family or entourage? Weird.
Anywho...fact time!
11. I am late for work every day, but always stay late to make up for it. Funny enough, I used to be really good at waking up early, back in the day.
12. I never got passed "Advanced Beginners" in swim lessons when I was younger because I couldn't do the Elementary Backstroke right, and yes I can do the regular backstroke, just not the elementary. It was actually really frustrating. Actually I think I may have passed in my final year at day camp. But then I was stuck on the breast stroke. Too many things going on at once but they can't all happen at once. Oy. Clearly, I was not meant to be a swimmer.
13. I am still bitter that I was not cast as Miss Adelaide in my high school's production of Guys and Dolls. I would have owned that roll. And I still don't buy the excuse my jailbird ex-choir director gave me that it was because the other two girls (it was double cast) had similar body sizes for costume reasons. Its high school dude. Not my fault I didn't want a piece of your pie. And yes, that was meant to be as dirty as it sounds. And yes, he is really in jail. And yes, I know I need to get over it. But I was 17 and in looooove with the theater! Sometimes things like that stick.
14. I loved staying home on Saturday nights when I was younger to watch tv. The line up was great. I think it started with Alf and ended with Empty Nest.
15. My first tv boyfriend was one of the actors (Blake Sennett) on that Nickelodeon show Salute Your Shorts. He then went on to play "Joey the Rat" on Boy Meets World. And is now in the band Rilo Kiley (guitar and vocals).
Gossip Girl and Models tonight! Whoo!
Laterz.

Ice Ice Baby
The Hills? Oy. So are Heidi and Lauren just acting? Are they secretly friends? Come on someone close to the pair has got to know this info!
And apparently Owen Wilson is not dating Jessica Simpson, but a model named Le (pronounced LEE, but who needs the other E) so really her name means "the" en Francaise. But she's American or so claims this LiveJournal.
Okay, so more facts:
6. I hate when people hover over me on the bus if I am sitting in an end seat. Fine if the bus is crowded, but if not, please do not invade my personal space when there is room for you to not stand on top of me.
7. I love all things related to the Disney channel. Well not all things, but most things.
8. I wish I was a Broadway superstar diva. And if so, I would star in such old productions:
Grease as Marty
Les Mis as Fantine
Rent as Maureen
Guys and Dolls as Miss Adelaide
Chicago as Roxie Hart
Hairspray as Penny Pinkerton
And then of course anything new. And I would be friends with both Idina Menzel and Patti LuPone. Obviously.
9. I love singing show tunes in the shower, clearly as I love Broadway. My favorite is "Can't Help Lovin that Man of Mine."
10. I wish I could cook.
Kisses!!

Thursday, November 08, 2007
There is no new office tonight because of the strike...
1. I only like vanilla and chocolate flavored yogurt. Occasionally I will eat cherry, as long as cheesecake is involved in the title. And I don't like it when it has the fruit in it.
2. I love all things lotion and bath and lip gloss related. It's a problem, but at least I can admit it.
3. I put ranch dressing on everything. Such as grilled cheese (seriously its delicious), potato chips, and pizza.
4. I know all the 50 states in alphabetical order. I have known this since we learned the Fifty Nifty United States song in third grade.
5. My favorite fictional character from a children/preteen book is Stacy McGill from The Babysitter's Club. She was awesome, or is awesome...I think those books are still being written. I used to try and mimic her handwriting (remember how the beginning of each chapter was an excerpt from the girls) except for the big dots (or hearts?) over the i's. That never took.
Okay, well if I can get my act together, then maybe I will actually put some more things about myself for the next few posts.
I am excited for Ugly Betty tonight...Posh invades Mode as Wili's maid-of-honor. Should be fun!

The Facts of Life
So starting tomorrow...I will share a few things about myself! Along with some other words of wisdom. And D.Ro agrees that Shia LB is hot. Thank you.

"I'm going to make you a mix tape..."
Soooo happy belated Halloween. I celebrated last weekend and went as a mish-mash of Mary-Kate Olsen, Lindsay Lohan, and Britney. Seriously...how great....And don't worry the cigarette is candy! Smoking is gross! Jess is in the pic with me as the hot angel of death!

Anyways...so then last night Toby and I ate pizza and had cupcakes by Toby (that were quite delicious) and watched The Exorcist. But it was like remastered so it had some extra scenes and stuff. I kind of want to see that movie Saw. But not by myself.
kisses!!

I see you watching me watching you...
Anyways...so went on my first business trip to San Antonio. It was mucho fun. Did I even use that word right? This weekend is J&Ms halloween party. I am going as Mary Kate Olsen/a Hollywood IT Girl, complete with my own Vienti Starbucks cup. And blonde wig. And Fedora.
Um, so TV. I LOVE Gossip Girl. Two weeks is way to long to wait for the new episode. I heart Leighton Meister and her portrayal of poor little rich girl Blair in more ways then one. And if Kelly Bishop is joining the cast as Serena's richy-poo grandmother? I will be in heaven!!
I'm not sure yet, but I may have to break up with Dirty Sexy Money. I feel like something is missing. Like I am not all that into it but I need to know what is going to happen, so I'm not ready to cut the cord just yet.
Models. Tyra? Oy. So far Heather, Bianca, Jenna, and Chantal are my favorite. Any combo of them would be great. Thanks.
Heroes. Always good.
The Hills. So fake but its so addicting.
Prison Break. Almost caught up!!! Have like three episodes!
Reaper. Bret Harrison is so my new tivo boyfriend, along with Jim from the Office, obviously. But they show isn't that bad. And like I said, Ray Wise is hysterical and perfect as the devil. Still waiting for some sort of Twin Peaks nostalgia.
Ugly Better. LOVES IT.
The Office. I am so happy for Jam. And Dwight pining over Angela? Priceless.
Lordy. Could I watch more tv? I mean I could. But really.
Okay...you know you love me.
Kisses.

It's Britney, Bitch.
Anyways...I want Serena's hair (from Gossip Girl). Seriously. I don't care if it's extensions or what, girl has got some fabulous hair. I love that show. Great clothes too. And I am oddly still into Reaper. I love the lead guy in it. He was hilarious in Grounded for Life. And Hung, well I wanted Dale to win, BUT I think that Hung for sure deserves it, either way I am so happy that Dale did so well. His lamb chop thing at the end looked amazing. As did Hung's cake. He was smart to do a chocolate dessert...simple, yes, but stunning to look at and all the judges seemed to like it. Um, and I am still behind on Dirty Sexy Money, Ugly Betty, and Prison Break. Well like WAY behind on PB. But not a problem. I am excited that they are reshowing Grey's and Pushing Daisies tonight!
So aside from my copious amounts of tv watching, I still do get out and have a life. And make the world a better place for all things female. So lets see, next week, on October 11, Chicago NOW is celebrating National Coming Out Day at T's Bar in Andersonville. Let me know if you want more details. It is going to be a fun casual event. The, Wednesday, October 17, is Chicago NOW's Health Team second annual Love Your Body Day performance showcase at the Heartland Cafe in Rogers Park. It is going to be a blast. Plus there are tons of fabulous raffle prizes such as feminist books and karate lessons! So come and love your body with Chicago NOW! Also, the winners of the essay and poster contest (for high school students) will be reading/showing their art. Awesomeness all around. THEN on October 27 (Saturday), the Violence Against Women team is having a coaster launch/Halloween party at Schubas. The coasters will be distributed to bars around the area, with slogans that let people no, that no really does mean no. And that we still have so much to fight for on the issue of rape.
Okay, well that is all for events and tv for the moment! Going Halloween shopping tonight! Woo! Or well maybe at lunch. And then making posters for Stacy/Jamie marathon runners!! you go Girls!!
You know you love me...xoxo....wishing I was Gossip Girl! haha

Doll you make them feel so small...and they love it
Ahem, so you know what I hate? When tall, skinny, blonde (or any hair color really) girls wear short skirts and complain that they haaaaate their skinny chicken legs. Like OMG look at my skinny skinny legs aren't they horrible?! Seriously. Shut it. You are tall and skinny. I would give anything to at least have thin legs and run around in shorts and skinny jeans all the time. Yes, I am aware I am being superficial. But its annoying. We get it. You are tall and pretty and have shiny hair (although to be honest and shallow, I do have nice hair) and you have long legs and can wear short skirts and all the boys love you and your legs. Way to make the rest of us shorties with normal legs feel bad and have to write blog posts about them and feel bad that they aren't loving their bodies because really we all should love our bodies. But whatever. As much as I heart all things pop culture, I blame celebrities, Kiera Knightly I'm talking about you, for complaining that their negative zero size frame is the biggest in Hollywood. Please.
On a non-skinny girl bobble head note...how great has Mariah been looking! Yay for curves!
That was tiring.
Haha whatever, you know you love me!
xoxo
HMF...wishing she could really be Gossip Girl. Hmmm maybe I should start one of all the socialites in Chicago. How would I go about that...anyone know? Thanks!

Never was a cornflake girl...
Gossip Girl. Haven't read the books, but really want too. It was good! I love high school dramas about rich kids in Manhattan! And Kelly Ruthaford as the divorced 3 times Stepford. Seriously. Everyone on that show is pretty. And the clothes are awesome. And I can't wait to get knock offs at H&M. And yes, at heart I am still 17...however, they all dress amazing. Oh, and love love love Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars) as the VO otherwise known as Gossip Girl. Haha "you know you love me...xoxo." I need to start signing my posts like that. So, Josh Schwartz, I am totally stealing that from you. But anyways, I feel like the show may take some sort of sinister turn...which is always a delight.
Models. Oh Tyra and the Jays...how I have missed you. There is one girl from Chicago this cycle...Ebony. And watch out ya'll cuz she is fierce. And a bitch. And her momma is a crack head. My words, not hers. I love that Tyra pushes these girls to tell their most intimate issues. Like what does that have to do with modelling? I mean do we know anything about Giselle, Adriana Lima, or Karolina Kourkova (I am aware I spelled all of those way wrong, will fix later). No, we don't. But since it was just the audition show, it's too soon for me to have an opinions on these girls. I like the Yale girl. And Heather. And the "normal girl" model. She's not quite plus size but not quite regular model. Oy.
I know that there were other new shows on this week, but I am still behind on Prison Break, so it might be a while until I get to that. ROL is almost over...I hope Heather wins. Maybe the spoiler is a big fake out! So glad that crazy Lacey is gone. Dale is in the finale on Top Chef! Yay for him! I would be happy with any of the final four winning.
In other news, lots of NOW events coming up in October. So there will be more on that. And hopefully some sort of action will be taken and Planned Parenthood will be able to remain in Aurora.
More later!
xoxo
Against Abortion? Don't Have One!
If you are so against abortion...then don't have one, but don't tell other women what they can or can't do. It's not fair, and it's not your choice. So remember folks...help keep a woman's right to choose safe and legal! Support Planned Parenthood!

Don't need nuthin...but good time...
Anyways...so its the weekend...I'm at work for a few more then meeting up with Melissa for manicures and mailings and perhaps some first season of Bones. Or maybe season 2 of Prison Break...if I can convince her. Oh and pizza. We are mailing LYBD letters out to high schools. Then tomorrow is Amy's wedding! Now that I have my new camera, I will hopefully be able to post some pictures and spice things up over at the HMF blog. Cuz really, I need some cool images on this thing. Too bad I don't live in LA and am not friends with the Cobrasnake et al. But either way, hopefully pictures will be here soon.
So here is my quick beef. Paris Hilton. We all love to hate her and find ourselves saying "that's hot" (I used quote marks so please don't sue me!!) once in a while. Anyways, I read an article she did in some magazine about how she wants a guy and a kid and is getting her body ready to have a baby next year so that she will be ready. Um, okay, so does she just wake up and think, I want to have babies just like Nicole and poof, she will get one? Do these starlets know that a child is not a prop and that millions (actually I don't know the real statistic) of women in the world can't have children due to various reasons and would do anything to have one, and Paris makes a statement and I mean, we all know that next year she will be preggers. My money is on some sort of Greek shipping heir being the baby daddy.
Alrighty, enjoy the weekend my fabulous readers.
tata! :)

Step by step...oooh baby....gonna get to you girrrrrrl....
The engagement party was fun! All the kids were super cute. And my cucumber sandwiches were a hit! I can now make mature/grown up party food. Go me. haha Next time I need to make those oyster/goat cheese things that Tracey had at her party. Devine. Well, for those of you that like goat cheese and oysters. Anyways, and yeah, Tracey's party was fun too! Joshers was sleeping though cuz he was sick. Poor baby. But I hopefully will be babysitting soon! He can walk now! And his favorite word is shoe! So cute that child.
Anywho, so yeah, got some fabulous new heels. And then went to Land of the Lost and got a vintage Guns 'n' Roses shirt, a vintage NKOTB shirt, two pairs of awesome vintage sunglasses (one pair is totally 80s and fluorescent colors), and a sweet 70s jewelry box. I tried on a pair of Wrangler bell bottoms, but alas, they did not fit over my large booty. But that is my next quest. I want a pair of vintage bell bottoms. And I still want those Chanel shoes. But really, the shirts I got a quite cool, and I can't wait to bust them out!
Last night I watched the movie Perfume. I have read the book so was curious to see the movie. It has Dustin Hoffman and Alan Rickman in it, and was really good. Great cinematography. And the actor who plays Jean-Baptiste was fantastic. It sort of followed the book--same themes and stuff, but some stuff was cut out, which was fine because I actually thought that it worked better in the movie.
Prison Break season 2 is out today!! Booyah!
Oh and I am still liking Brody on The Hills. LOVED when he called Spencer a little bitch. And loved when Jenn Bunney called Heidi out on her BS.
And ROL? Where do I even begin. I love Jes but think that Heather is a way better match for Bret. Was the tattoo she got real? Others are pointing out that it wasn't even red afterwards. So could have all been for drama sake. Oh producers. Not funny.

A hall of records, or numbers, or spaces still undone...
I know! Tonight after work I am meeting Melissa and Britta for dinner so we can catch up and also discuss Love Your Body Day, which was started by NOW (the national chapter in DC), and is in October. Last year we did an essay contest/open mic night to celebrate...the theme being "The First Time I Felt Beautiful." This year we are doing the same but extending it to artists as well. And we want a new theme...any ideas? Something along the lines of loving your body, obviously. We are hitting up the same high schools as last year as well as a few new ones. I think it will be great, and hopefully we will get even more submissions than last year, now that we have extended it to art as well. And the open mic night was awesome. I am so in awe of people who can go up there and do that sort of thing and just generally be all-around fantastic.
Okay, well anyways, tomorrow is Amanda's b-day and for lunch I am meeting her, MM, EC, and AO at Park Grill and then heading to the burbs to get stuff done for my sister's engagement partay! Then Sunday Tracey and Dave and JOSHUA are having a party! I am so excited to see him walk and hear him say "shoes." Once my sister and T move, I can start babysitting again cuz I can just sat at their house.
I am reading Alias Grace by Margaret Atwood. It is really good. Like I don't want it to end, but I do because I want to know if she really did it or not and whatever. Then I may need to pick up a feminist book again. I've got a bunch waiting in my "to-be read" pile and need to get started!
Alrighty, back to work I suppose.
toodles.

We can be a sweet team melting in your vice dream...
So Market Days was a few weeks ago. It was awesome. I always have such a blast working the NOW booth! Then this past weekend I went to Bloomington, Ill., to visit my cousins and their little kids...both are so super cute I can't even stand it.
On to tv I guess! ROL is continuing to be the greatest trainwreck that ever trainwrecked. Good lord. Bret, word of advice, get rid of Lacey. Girl is craaaaazzzzy. Or so she seems. However, I am sure she is being kept around for ratings. But anyways, the show is great, and I can't wait for season 2, because ya'll know there will be a season 2.
The Hills started. I am so on Team Lauren. I love though, that last night, it was clear that Heidi's parents totally see through Spencer and his creepy vibes. And I am starting to like Brody Jenner. Yes, I said it. And I love Lo and Whitney. Please show more of them editors!
Prison Break Season 2 comes out on DVD September 4. I am sooo excited. Now I just need Veronica Mars season 3 and I am all set. And I still need to finish watching 24 from this past season. But I have until like January to do that. Oh so many shows! And so many new shows!
Okay, back to work.
Back in a jiffy!

It's the Best of Both Worlds...
Finally finished Harry Potter! I won’t ruin the ending...but I liked it. I thought that she did a nice job of wrapping things up. Although, that book was pretty damn violent. I wonder if the younger folks reading the books are just in it for the magic aspect or if they too get into the relationships and stuff. I cried like 47 times.

Careless in Our Summer Clothes
So I am trying to not read the Harry Potter book too fast because I want to make it last. However, there is one thing I noticed during my reading. At one point Harry goes to visit his parents' graves, and the tombstones are marked saying that J&L died October 1981...which okay, so then are these books not taking place in current time? Because if so, then homeboy is no parts 17. He’s actually closer to 30. Because if Lily and James dies when he was 1, then he would have been born in 1980, which would make him 27, if the books were set in present day. So am I to assume that this is actually taking place circa 1997? Am I the only one who didn’t know this? Although it would make sense seeing as how none of them have mobile phones, and this would make is so much easier for them all to stay in touch while on the run, however, I am aware that would totally take away from the magic aspect. Who needs to send a talking patronious...just send them a text! Ha Although I’m sure the Ministry of Magic would have found a way to hex all phones somehow.

We got along we got along we got along we got along before you did that...
Please join Chicago NOW, on Thursday, July 26, at Ethel's Chocolate Lounge, 819 W. Armitage Ave., for the Second Annual Chocolate for Choice Fundraiser/Membership Meeting! I mean, who doesn't love chocolate and supporting a woman's right to choose? It is $15 for NOW members and students with a valid ID, and $20 for general admission. This gets you several pieces of chocolate selected by yours truly and the fabulous Britta, unlimited fondue, and wine. There will also be a raffle, which will include an IPod Shuffle among other goodies. Price for the raffle is yet to be determined, but it will probably be like $3 for one, $10 for your whole arm or whatever. Irregardless, it should be a great event...also, if you want to learn more about Chicago NOW, we will be talking about that and all the fun things that includes.
Right...tonight...Harry Potter book release party at the Borders in Oak Park...apparently they have the biggest one cuz they turn the street in Diagon Alley. And then they have like shuttles to get you from different things. I am not staying all night though. I ordered my book online, so I don't need to wait in any sort of crazy-ass line! But it should be a good time. I think we get free wands. Which, is awesome, obviously.
Okay, so I heart the WGN morning news. This is no secret. However, why do they always have scantily-clad women on it? Can we make it even and get some men on there wearing like just boxers or something? I mean come on! I love me some Pat Tamasulo making a fool of himself with the various Loop and Hooters girls...but can Robin B. have some fun with the men? Oh, and I felt so bad that Larry Potash had to get himself wrapped up in some sort of snake this morning. I would have cried. But that turtle was super cute.
And, thank you to the lovely JG for finally making me watch "So You Think You Can Dance." And in the episode where Wade Robeson was the guest judge. Love him. Oh, and also, very happy that Dale did not go home on TC. Although Sara M., should have been in the top three! Everyone was loving that vegetable thing she made, including me, from just seeing it on my television screen. And, hello, she made her own freaking cheese. I need a fromagier to come work for me.
Alrighty, gotta go. But will give a recap of the weekend and of course the new Bret Michaels show: Rock of Love. My newest guilty pleasure. I can't decide if it's worse than Flavor of Love. I think maybe they are just even. I did Tivo that show Mad Men on AMC, so I will have a full report on that too.
And remember everyone...we are bring cunt back...in a good way! :)

Give it to me baby...uh huh uh huh
So since Saturday I have been dog sitting in Bucktown for a friend of my sisters. She has 3-year-old Mackey who is a Boston Terrier and 3-month-old Ava who is a mini dachsund. And two cats. One wants nothing to do with me, one is an attention whore. They are all SO CUTE. Seriously.
Let's see...worked the NOW booth at Picthfork...went to a brunch and a BBQ.
Well now that it's Thursday, everything I have written about is old news. In new news, I am reading the book Cunt: A Declaration of Independence by Inga Muscio. It's awesome. Everyone male and female should read it.
Okay, swamped at work gotta go.

I'm not here for your entertainment...
The series finale of Hidden Palms was on last night...you know, I would have liked to see the kids at school and stuff. I mean wrapping up the murder of Eddie was good but they left lots of things open. Although I am excited for Gossip Girl! And Reaper. And that new show on Fox with Kelsey Graham. Oh and that Fox show about Vampires.
Re: Hell's Kitchen...I am still on my quest to find a place that has Beef Wellington. My dad said they had it on the buffet on his cruise. But that's a cruise. And also, shut up Melissa (contestant on the show NOT my sister). Please put your hair back and in a hair net when you are cooking. I'm sorry, but that is soooo nasty that her "amber waves of annoying" tm TWoP writer, are hanging everywhere while she cooks. It's just so gross. And stop picking on Julia. She is awesome. And still rooting for Dale on TC! I saw him on Broadway (the street not the stage) the other day! I was like, um, do you remember me from when you lived on Gibbons? He did so we talked about that. He is super nice! And is still rocking the fuax-hawk!
Okay, well this is doing that weird typing thing where the cursor is moving really slowly. Cleaning the mold off my bathroom ceiling tonight. Gross. If anyone knows of any home remedies that will get rid of this problem forever, please let me know!!
Peace.
PS...I finally know who killed Laura Palmer!!!!!

Welcome to the Freak Show...
So...Pride Parade was awesome. It is soooo much fun being in it. Here is a pic at the NOW float...that is me in the white sunglasses:
Going backwards in the weekend, Saturday I went to dinner with Jess my sister, T, and Arie (T's brother) and it was really fun. Even though we found plastic TWICE in our Bellini's. The food was great. I heart rustic Italian tapas. haha Then afterwards we headed over to Citizen for the Stacy and Steph birthday bash. Twas fun...just bad acoustics. My ears were ringing when I left.
Pics from dinner:
So on to tv...Hell's Kitchen. Now, okay, what is up with the random menu that GR has? Beef Wellington? Do people actually eat that? I don't think I have ever been somewhere that has that on the menu. Glad Vinnie was sent home. He bugged. I still would love to see GR as a guest on Top Chef, which is on tonight. Along with my new summer favs Traveler and Hidden Palms. Cliff, I love you. He steals every scene. I wonder if "who killed Eddie Nolan" will become the phrase of the summer. You know like back in the day when Twin Peaks was on and everyone was wondering who killed Laura Palmer. Not like I am comparing the shows in any way!!
Alrighty, more later.

"Love you, love everything about you, thinking about being you for Halloween."
We are moving up to the 12 floor at work. Packing is a beyotch. I am currently taking a break.
Party tomorrow night...e-mail me and I will let you know where!
Also, how amazing does Kerri Russell look after just having a baby like 3 minutes ago!

"Dwight, you ignorant slut!"
Anyways, I think I need to rent Girl With a Pearl Earring sometime soon, since I am almost done with the book and am curious to see how the movie is since the book is told in first person.
Alrighty, back to work.

My lip gloss is cool...my lip gloss be poppin'
Anywho, so let's catch up. Um, tv, Hell's Kitchen, really Barbie, Boobs, and Bin (names made up by someone WAY wittier then me), you are all just jealous of Julia. Girl needs to win this thing. And speaking of cooking, I actually know one of the cheftestants on Top Chef! Dale! He is my old neighbor! From where I grew up!
Okay, I need to go because my computer or this site is having some sort of lag and it's driving annoying. So more updates soonly!

I'm Not Scared and I'm Not Lonely...
Anywho, so yes, Hidden Palms was on last night, and its sort of going in the way of sinister mini-series rather than Dawson's Creek, considering Dead?Eddie has gotten in contact with Johnny by way of the Information Superhighway from the beyond, so who knows. I think Liza is behind the whole thing. Oh, and I also watched Top Chef: Battle of the 4 Star All Stars, and really, shut up Marcel and Ilan. Thanks. Season One team, I love you all. Especially Stephen. And every time he talked about food being sexy, I fell in love even more. His lobster dish not only looked absolutely beautiful on the plate, it sounded delicious. I bet he's a good kisser....ahhh what? Oh, I'm sorry. And I love Cliff (Zach from the OC) on Hidden Palms.
Right. Back on track. Tonight is The Starter Wife and a NOW meeting. Probably getting dinner with Britta afterwards. Was not feeling sushi before, but could totally go for it. Or Thai. Or Minnies, since we will be so close to that anyways. Or even Unlce Julio's. Although I am having Mexican at SamFest 07, as my dad likes to refer to his birthday party.
The cast of Oceans 13, minus Brad P. are in town. I'm not going to the premier or anything. I don't even think I have seen Oceans 12. And, I think I may start watching Buffy. After I finish Twin Peaks and Weeds. And of course read the 47 books that are piling up in my apartment.

Hey Now, You're a Rockstar
So yeah, keep your calendars marked for the following fun, fabulous, and feminist events:
-June 23: Dyke March
-June 24: PRIDE

Alrighty kids, well that's it for now! The scrapbook is finally done! My dad's birthday party is this weekend, and I am very excited for it as well as my new dress and shoes.
Um, I wish I was more exciting and had pictures. But I don't.
Bye!

So Rich. So Pretty.
Right, so okay, today at lunch, a co-worker of mine was complaining that he was going to a bachelor party, where there was going to be no stripper, because the guy's wife nixed the idea saying she would not become his wife if strippers are involved. He (co-worker) was pissed because now the party is going to be boring. Now, I totally understand if girl-fiance doesn't want boy-fiance to have strippers, but apparently she is having one at hers, so the guys were complaining its not fair. And I suppose it isn't. I went to a bachelorette party with male strippers. They were gross. But anyways, my point is, why do men love strippers so much? And why is it a right of passage for a guy to have them at his bachelor party? This led me to ask another co-worker at lunch, what men do with these strippers, asking if they actually have sex with them. One said no, the other said sometimes, which, really? Sometimes guys have sex with strippers? Wouldn't that make the stripper a prostitute? I mean does she get paid to sleep with them? Or is of her own free will? And then I was like well, if I knew my future husband wanted to have sex with someone else before we got married, then we shouldn't be getting married.
Anyways, my question, after all this convoluted typing is, do some men actually sleep with strippers on the night of their bach party just because it's their last night of "freedom?" That is just wrong on so many levels. Like the bar is lifted that night? That is seriously, the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Bachelor parties mystify me. Someone needs to write a tell-all book about bachelor parties. From low-key to scandalous. I would read it. And really, if a guy wants to be with a stripper so bad, then he probably should go and marry one. Seriously, I am not knocking strippers, but can't non-stripping women just do a little show for their man if it's that big of a deal for them? Carmen Electra has some great DVDs. Or can't they just go to the strip club together? Oy. I am starting to sounds like a loon.
Going to Minnies tomorrow for a shower! Can't wait for minnie sandwiches involving Brie! And scrapbook needs to be finished this weekend. It's really taking over my life.
Kisses!

...I think you lost it in the Hollywood Hills...
Oh, and Lost? Oy. Don't even get my started. Pleeeease do not have next season centered around Jack and his wanting to get back to the island. Or just centered around Jack in general. I really cannot take that. I want more Locke. And Sayid. And Walt! Walt was back! And why does the show need to start up again in February? I can't wait that long! But I thought that the finale was well done and maddening all at once. Which, I am assuming is the point. So is Jack a clairvoyent like Des? And Kate, is she with Sawyer? Oh, so many questions.
And although VM has ended, they are starting season three from the beginning tonight! And I am giving Travelor another chance. Oh and can't wait for Hidden Palms on the CW. I mean yes, it's the summer and I should get off my ass and do stuff, and I will. That is why I have TiVo! Still need to catch up on 24, although I pretty much know what happens.
Hmmm, feminist news? I need to get myself back in the loop but will report on it later. If you live in Chicago, Pride is coming up! And the Dyke March. Then mark your calendars for July 26, Chocolate for Choice!

Miami is Nice...So I'll Say it Thrice!!
Anywho, so yes, yours truly is going on vacation with the fam. And to see Jamie and Paul! Yay! There might be a blog from the Sunshine State at some point. We shall see.
The Heroes season finale? Not as good as I thought. I mean I wanted a bigger smackdown between Peter P. and his hair of awesomeness and Sylar and his eyebrows that could give Sandy Cohen a run for their money! I did love that Nikki/Jessica (I forget which one is good) totally picked up the parking meter and hit Sylar with it. Oh and all parts with Hiro were fantastic. I am glad that they are probably going to introduce a new villian next season, however, I have my doubts that Sylar is gone for good. Hmmm.
Alright...later gators! :)

Your pencils are creating a health hazard. I could fall and pierce an organ.
The Office, of course, was good. That last scene with Jim asking Pam to dinner was great. I do hate where they took Jan's character, but it was sort of funny. "Bye Hunter, good luck with your band, don't let them change you." Priceless. And I was totally shocked at the end when it was Ryan who got the job! Oh Kelly. I wonder if we will hear here lament about it all next season. Oy. Unless the hire a new temp...
Going to Blue Water Grill tonight for dinner for my sister's b-day (hi Peppers!). I have heard mixed things about it but mostly good, so I am excited! I bought two possible new shirts/dresses for this weekend. Not sure if I am keeping both or just one. I didn't feel like trying on.
Alrighty, I think I might go see if the Chanel ballet flats I want are on eBay in my size.

Spark Rocker With Your Dirty Eyes
Blah. I'm annoyed with various people today have been this whole week. Anyways, Lost was okay last night, pretty much just a build up to the two hour season finale! Which, is apparently Jack-centered, but there better be a lot of Locke and Sayid! And also, damn you show for making me cry, especially since it was during all the Charlie/Claire moments. But I really really hope that they also explain who those glamazon gun women in the Looking Glass station are! Looks like they are going to give ol' Chollie a beating next week.
Moving on, busy weekend this week...have to get in gear with making my dad's scrapbook. I don't know how people make one for everything. They cost a fortune (not that my dad is not worth it!) and seem like a big undertaking! But I will get help from my sister this weekend. I totally went over board on the stickers and doo-dads for it but I couldn't help it. They have so much fun stuff!
Okay, this is even boring me! Office finale tonight! Will watch after my NOW meeting! Huzzah!

"This town is like one big outpatient mental institution"
Rory: Mom?
Lorelai: Oh.
Rory: You're happy.
Lorelai: Yeah.
Rory: Did you do something slutty?
Lorelai: I'm not that happy.
Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel had such great chemistry together. And the grandparents. Oh Richard and Emily, how you made the show. Actually I will miss everyone in Stars Hollow. Even Taylor! So here's to 7 great seasons of Gilmore Girls.
Now...what should I start watching on Tuesday nights. Well, I have all summer to figure that out once the new shows are announced. When is that show about Palm Beach starting? Or is that just for summer? Yes, I know I could so something else besides watch tv (which I do between working out and NOW things), but what's the fun in that?
So, the weekend was fun...just a reminder to everyone please please PLEASE support local business, especially Women and Children First (a bookstore) on Clark in Andersonville. So next time you need to buy a book...think independent!! Totally the way to go. They have an annual book sale in the summer so more about that when I know the date. Also, they will be needing volunteers to help them count books sometime in August, so also, more info on that!
Right. Time to go. TTFN.

Nothing but Pennies in my Pocket
Anyways...Lost was super creepy last night. Like back to it's old tricks of season one. I know that a lot of people are more concerned with the Losties and learning more about them, but I am definately all about finding out more about Ben, the others, the hostiles, and the Dharma Initiative, which we got a little bit last night. So I guess the Dharma people weren't all that bad...considering they were trying to live in a society to do experiments that would ultimately lead to world peace, and we are to believe that they were all a bunch if free-lovin hippies, however they were then annihilated by the "hostiles" that are apparently native to the island, including Richard, our fun-loving eyeliner wearin' Other. I am pretty sure he is wearing MAC brand in Carbon. He has aged well though. Or not aged at all. Something is rotten on Craphole Island! My question is, so if the natives are indeed natives, then wouldn't they have tried to kill off the DI people before they built their little village and bunkers and schools and such? Or are the "natives" part of an earlier Dharma experiment gone wrong? Or did they just want to wait until Dharma was established on the island before they "purged" them? And Ben is totally deliciously evil. That whole scene with him and Locke and "Jacob" was scary! I am a wimp though. But still...I hope we get more explanation of Jacob in the next two episodes. Like is it really future Ben or Locke or Jack? Or is it Alvar Hanso? Or none of the above? Or the guy with the three toes? Or Walt? What?!?!
Anyways, I gotta go. More later perhaps!

Do you take sugar...one lump or two?
Anyways, yesterday I went out with the fam for Beth's graduation from Pharmacy School! We went to David's Bistro in Des Plaines. It was quite delicious. When I got home I planned on watching The Queen, you know to make it a British movie weekend, but fell asleep, so I plan on doing that tonight. But then this morning/afternoon, I met Jess and Rocco at the dog part in Lincon Park, and then we went to Sweet Mandy B's for some deeeelicious cupcakes and cookie sandwich with buttercreme frosting. OMG it was so good. On my way home, I bought really cute ballet flats that are red with white polka dots. I heart them. I got them at the Pink Frog on Belmont, but just the one that has shoes. There were some cute silver flats that I feel like I need to go back and get. I am having obsessions with flats, in case you can't tell!
Alrighty, well would catch up on tv but since its Sunday, I will just wait until this week. But can I just tell you that Peter P. on Heroes...with the scar on his face? Hot. I was never really a huge fan of his until this show. I never really liked Jess all that much on Gilmore Girls. Mostly because I thought it was weird that Luke likes Lorelai and Jess like Rory and they were all related, well Jess being Luke's nephew and Lor/Rory being mother and daughter. Plus I loved Dean. LOVED. I wish I watched Supernatural, but I already have too many shows on Thursday.
In other sadder news, my Great Aunt Rose passed away. She was 101! For real! She lived a great life though! Still had all her own teeth. That's pretty damn amazing! Here's to Great Aunt Rose!

That's What She Said
Anyways, also, if you have not had the chance to see Scar Jo perform her coochie dance on SNL last week. You totally should. Check it Out!
Okay, down to business. Firstly, feminist happenings around town this week. Tomorrow night is Take Back the Night at U of C. Friday night is a fun event at Early to Bed on Clark. It is a women-friendly, women-owned adult toy shop and is awesome. Chicago-NOW's Lesbian Right's Team is having an event there and everyone should go to support the 'moes. I feel like I can put that because I am gay-friendly. Anyways, the event is FREE. It's from 9pm-11pm. And there will also be a raffle. Ten percent of everything you buy will be given to Chicago-NOW. Oh, and there will be wine and cheese and quite possibly a folk singer. So if you want a new toy, want one for the first time, or just want to spend an evening outside of the bar scene...you should attend!
Let's see...tonight I have a meeting to plan Chocolate for Choice at Ethel's...is it sad that I am hoping I get a free piece of chocolate?! Then coffee with Mary, then home for Models (although it's just a clip show, but whatever), and then LOST! Only 4 episodes left y'all. And I found the Lost action figures at Virgin Records. Oh and shirts too. I sort of want a Driveshaft shirt, if it didn't have a picture of Charlie on it...it's not very mysterious that way.
And welcome back Heroes! So happy Peter P. did not bite it. Though am excited to see what the future will hold for them (literally). If only to hear Adrian Pasdar say "I'm the most special person in the world" or something equally bizarre because he apparently becomes POTUS. But how kick-ass is future Hiro! And regular Hiro is pretty awesome too!
Anywho, so MySpace. I'm addicted. I can't help it. It's like an open invitation to stalk people and be stalked. I mean it really is. I wonder if anyone is stalking me right now!
Jess made dinner last night. It was fabulous! I heart all things involving goat cheese and tomato sauce. Seriously. So delicious.
This weekend we finally get to see Aunt Sari et. al for Christmas in April! Can't wait!

Women Are From Mars
Now, onto my thoughts of the day. Right. So a friend of mine, we will call him "X," last week, sent me an email with a link to a YouTube video blog of a girl he went on a date with last summer. "Shells" the girl in the blog, who I have no problem putting her name on here since, well she has a YouTube video so all anonymity is out the window, anyways, has a rather campy, video blog of herself. Showing herself to sort of be, well that girl. And by that girl, I mean thinking she is dating a guy after one date, taking "He's Just Not that Into You" to heart, and basically husband hunting. So after much back-and-forth email with X, he seemed to think she was joking, but that sadly, he knew women like this. Basically, I think she is making this video as a joke to all those women out there just like this.
So, it got me thinking. Why is it that when a woman wants to settle down, she is deemed a freak and clingy and so on, but when a guy wants to, everyone is all like yeeeeah he is finally settling down and giving up his frat-boy partying ways, and everyone is all like throwing him a party? Why is it okay for a guy to want a girlfriend, but a girl who wants to find a nice guy or a boyfriend is deemed desperate? And where are these girls that act like this? None of my friends have ever taken off work just to get ready for a party. I mean seriously? Seriously. Not all women act like this, and frankly, I have yet to meet one who does, and if you do know someone like this, well then is it her fault? Or is it society's fault for making women think that there is something wrong with us if we are still single after age 25, 30, 35 and so on? And of course, now that I am re-reading this, this rant totally makes me sound desperate and pathetic. However, I perfer the terms empowered and independent! Womyn Unite! Ha.
I guess it all comes down to: Girls Rule. Boys Drool.
Yeah.

She Seems Sweet
Anyways, Models was good too. I feel like I have more favorites this season then usual. Renee, Dionne, Natasha, Britney, and Jaslene are my pics so far. I did like seeing the girls from last season. Joanie looked FIERCE! As did Michelle. That dark hair looks so much better than that bleached out thing she had on the show!!
And in very sad news...famed author Kurt Vonnegut passed away today. He was 84. And one of the greatest writers, well in my opinion. Very satirical and political and weird. But all in a good way. His books will live on for many generations to come. And if you haven't read any. You should. I wish I had his talent!

Get on the traaaaaain Fish...
This weekend is back to the vet for Webs just to check his blood. Hopefully he will not try and bite the technician.
**24 Spoiler Alert**
I totally knew Audrey was going to be alive. And not just because Jess looked it up on IMDB and saw that Kim Raver was coming back circa 11:00pm, but because its 24. And if I learned anything from watching Alias...no one is every really dead. Right Irina? haha Anyways, so yeah, storyline A wrapped up quite nicely and now we must finish the day with a revengeful Jack in China, which better be awesome!! You hear me writers of 24? Awesome as in 24 season one Awesome. Too bad Tony is not around. Because Jack + Tony in China would rule.
Chow Main!

K For P
Anyways...recap of the weekend. Friday night I babysat for the bestest baby ever: JOSHUA! I tried to teach him how to high-five me but it didn't really work out, but I get to see him again Saturday so maybe we will work on that...as long as his parents approve! :) Then came home and started watching Prison Break season one....OMG how did I not watch this show before? Aside from Wentworth Miller being deliciously hot in every scene, especially shirtless in the shower, it is so good! And even though I know that they get out eventually, I still hold my breath in every episode! Then Saturday ran some errands, watched some more PB, and then it was JAMIE time!!! J and her fabulous sister picked me up and we met up with CS at Hot Chocolate. It was delicious. My hot chocolate had hot fudge in the bottom. Hot fudge. In the bottom. I mean really, what is better than that!! The other girls had normal desserts...I got some cheese to go with my hc because I always need something salty to balance out the sweet. But it was seriously so good! I want to try brunch there sometime. Oh, and Mindy Siegal (the owner) makes her own marshmellows and they are amazing. Just an FYI, make a reservation if you go on a weekend. We sat in the lounge, which was fine, the tables are teeny though and the plates were large, so it was a balancing act.
Moving on...Sunday did laundry then headed to the suburbs with my sister and went to a Weekenders thing. I got a black skirt that can also be worn as a cute strapless dress. Who doesn't love two outfits in one!!
Mon/Tues had Passover Seders galore. Thanks to T and my sister for carting my arse all over the suburbs. Tonight, NOW meeting/Models/Lost, tomorrow choice team meeting and dinner with Britta hopefully. Friday relaxin with some PB and my sister and then Saturday...JESS MOVES TO THE CITY!! Yahoooooo! I will be helping with the move by keep Rocco out of the way! And then Saturday night is babysitting, and I am guessing more PB. Seriously. So good. So.Good.
So, is it weird that I am happy that Lindsey Lohan and Hilary Duff are becoming friends? And also, HD's song? With Love? Is so catchy! It sort of reminds me of Kylie. Also, I am obsessed with British pop star Mika. The song Lollipop? LOVES IT!!!
Okay, back to work people!!
Later gators.

Adventures in Lunching
Tonight is more babysitting and then tomorrow is vet and then JAMIE G! Holla! haha
Oh, and? I am totally in third place on my fantasy league. So not okay. Of course two days after I switch out Jenna Jameson for Sean Combs, she gets vajajay surgery, and is on like every blog. Haha including mine! Not like that counts for our league. If it did, I would get points for PDiddy. I am not giving him up yet though, just because of the maybe baby daddy scandal with the blonde one from Danity Kane. Swweeeeet.

Surveys: Part Uno
So compliments of my friend Britta's MySpace, I found some loverly surveys just because I figured the best way to getting myself to "It Girl" status, is to make sure everyone knows everything about me. Right? Can't hurt. And sometimes surveys are fun. Anyways, there are two, but they are long, so part duex will be tomorrow. Or maybe later this evening.
Honestly?
Honest Section:
1. Honestly, what color is your hair? brown
2. Honestly, whats on your mind? this survey
3. Honestly, what are you doing right now? uh, this survey! Well, I should be working
4. Honestly, do you think Britney Spears is attractive? Haha of course! I love me some B.Spears
5. Honestly, are you in love? Not at the moment no.
6. Honestly, have you done something bad today? nope

So, well, actually I ended up chopping off the end of the survey because I didn't really care for the questions, and thought that they were a little unnecessary. Lets see....oh right. Babysat last night for Joshua. OMG, he is SO CUTE! And totally faked me out with pretend crying just so I would give him my cell phone. He loved it! And I get to babysit again on Friday! Yay! And I am bringing my Prison Break season one DVDs. So okay, I have had this post as a draft for like half the day so it's time to go live.
Viewer Discretion Is Advised
So, a, anyways, not much else is new. JN lent me the first season of Prison Break! So this weekend, in my spare time (which is basically half the weekend), I am watching that and more season four of 24. Wentworth and Keifer? Yep! And le sigh.
Oh and soooo excited that JG is coming in! We finally get to try dessert at Hot Chocolate!
Also, I am trying to organize something (with the help of the Chicago Abortion Fund folks) to help out for Naisy Doral's campaign...she is running in a run-off election. So will keep all three of you updated for that.
Chao!
edited because Naisy and Nancy are not the same thing

Going to the country...gonna eat a lot of peaches...
Saturday hung out with SB and we finally both saw Borat. Pretty freaking hilarious. Let's see...ummmm went to Targe with DW yesterday. That was fun! I love daddy/daughter time! Then my dad came over to see Webster who basically pawed at his shoes and then purred. So cute. After that I watched some 24 season 4 and went to bed.
Sorry for the overly boring post.
Laterz.

Hey Look Me Over...
3. Lost was soooo good last night. So good. The scenes between Benry and John Locke were fantastic. Although there are many more questions to be answered. And, I wonder who else the others have got down in the "den of evil daddies" tradmark, me. :)
Chicago-NOW health team meeting tonight...then dinner with BA, AJ, and MS! Should be fun!! Tomorrow HMF heads to Dekalb! Yay Jess P!

And for my Next Trick
So is Veronica Mars going to be cancelled? Is there really a pilot of a new VM where VM is in the FBI? If they keep the same cast, I could be on board. OR just move the entire show to FX. I feel like it could do well on that station.
PS as of this afternoon I am in first place (by on 3 points) on my celeb fantasy league! :)

What I did on my Summer Vacation....
At about 7ish, I was done and tired and hungry, so while the rest of the gang headed to Wells on Wells, I got myself home, got some food, had plans to watch "The Prestige" but ended up watching the end of the Mich State/UNC game...then feel asleeeeeeep for a long time. Got up. Went to bed. Got up. Did laundry. Read. Watched "For Your Consideration." Which I liked. Oh and got free chips/guac/salsa from Chipolte! Fabulous! Thank you to the manager that works at the one on Broadway and Belmont! You seriously made my Sunday! You are awesome and get loads of gold stars!! :)
So yeeeeah, that was my weekend in a nutshell.
Side Note: Reed? Sucks. Edited because I felt I sounded way to bitter and angry. Not a good way to start off the week thankyouverymuch.
Later gators!
Go Salukis! :) I decided I am totally routing for So. Illinois!
